Her creative journey began in avant-garde cinema under Ishibashi Yoshimasa, where she explored the emotional and physical language of expression. This led to studies in Method acting in Los Angeles and a deep immersion in ancient wellness traditions, including Ayurveda, NUAT THAI, and Seitai. Certified as an oriental spa therapist and inspired by the aesthetics of Ikebana, Makiko channels her lifelong pursuit of harmony into INISHIÉ—a brand where French perfumery meets botanical wisdom. Each creation reflects her vision of beauty as a mindful ritual, designed to nourish the skin and restore inner serenity amidst the pace of modern life.
